Clyde Parker's Story:
A Good Samaritan found Clyde Parker walking down Clyde Park Avenue in Wyoming in July 2018. He had a generic collar on, no tags, no chip and was on a leash that would hold a toy dog - not a 6month 75lb Pit Lab Mix.
This Good Samaritan knew the odds for a large black unaltered male pittie are not good in the shelter, so in an attempt to do the right thing, he showed up at our rescue unannounced and called us from our driveway saying he was here to surrender a dog. That's not now this works - we're a rescue not a shelter and we did not have a space for another dog. We scrambled, panicked, and hustled. We made Parker a home on our breezeway in a Grate Dane crate and we made it work.
We searched high and low for his owners without luck. We posted him on every lost pet site out there and the posts were shared thousands of times. We believe he was intentionally abandoned and were not surprised no owner was found.
In the following two months, we neutered and vetted Parker, we walked for miles and miles, we worked on training and played for hours in Ambrose Park. We learned he loves water more than anything and we got to experience the joy that is Parker in a kiddie pool in a fenced in yard.
In August 2018 this gorgeous, hyper, playful, energetic wonderful dog found his forever home.
